Spring Equinox

Crossing into spring:

will internal light also

take the upper hand?

Winter has been rough-

days and nights sucked into dark

vortex of despair.

But balance has been

nuzzling in on me, trying

to assert its force,

to remind me of

my older truer self, who

knows her own goodness.
